SpaceX had a busy week with two successful Falcon 9 launches on December 16, followed by another planned launch on December 17.

The first launch on December 16 was the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission, which was sent into orbit from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The first stage booster of the Falcon 9 rocket returned to Earth at the landing zone at the Florida launch site.

The second launch on December 16 was the SES_Satellites O3b mPOWER mission at SLC-40, which was delayed by 30 minutes but eventually launched successfully. The booster landed on the “A Shortfall of Gravitas” drone ship, and deployment for both launches was confirmed a couple of hours later.

On December 17, SpaceX is scheduled to launch a batch(54) of Starlink satellites from Kennedy Space Center LC-39A, rounding off a busy week for the company.

In addition to these launches, SpaceX also conducted a static fire test at its Starbase facility in Texas for its Starship with a single engine.

These successful launches demonstrate SpaceX’s continued progress in the aerospace industry and its ability to successfully send a variety of payloads into orbit. The company has made a name for itself with its reusable rockets and efficient launch processes, and these latest launches are a testament to its capabilities.
