American Private Space company SpaceX successfully launched and landed its Falcon9 rocket to complete yet another resupply mission for International Space Station(ISS). This takes the total cargo supply mission count to 26 with its semi reusable Dragon Capsule, which also has a Human Space flight counterpart.

The launch and booster recovery was confirmed by SpaceX in a tweet. SpaceX started supplying cargo to ISS from 2012 and has since been one of the major and most dependable carriers for NASA and its European partners. SpaceX also recovers its Falcon9 Boosters by landing them autonomously on Ships in the oceans or on landing pads at the respective launch site. SpaceX later confirmed that Dragon Capsule will be Docked to ISS on Sunday Nov 27th at ~07:30AM ET.

This mission takes the total number of launches to 54 in 2022, which averages more than 1 for each week. This is the highest number of launches by any organization which is capable of launching rockets into the Orbit, including private or Governmental organizations, with the closest competitor being China. Here’s a list of number of launches by each major launch organization in the world compared to SpaceX in 2022.
