Elon Musk’s SpaceX Starlink internet service is set to adjust its prices for residential customers in the United States from April 2023. The company will decrease the price by $20 to $90 per month for areas with excess capacity, while areas with limited capacity will experience a $10 increase, making it $120 per month.

The new pricing structure applies only to the residential version of Starlink, and there will be no changes to the hardware costs, which will remain at $599 plus shipping costs of $50 for the standard version.

These new prices will take effect from April 24, 2023, and SpaceX will also do a $15 increase for the Starlink RV version, which will now cost $150 per month.

SpaceX currently boasts more than 1 million paying customers globally, with its internet service having gained significant traction in the rural and remote regions of the United States, where access to traditional broadband is limited.

The company’s decision to adjust its prices comes as it continues to roll out its satellite internet service to more customers around the world. The #Starlink system comprises a network of satellites orbiting the Earth, providing internet connectivity to areas where traditional internet service providers cannot.

In recent years, SpaceX has been working to expand the Starlink network, with the company launching hundreds of satellites into space to increase coverage. However, the service has faced criticism from some astronomers, who argue that the bright satellites can interfere with astronomical observations.

Despite these concerns, SpaceX has continued to push forward with its plans, with the company recently launching more than 50 Starlink satellites into orbit.

Overall, the new pricing structure for Starlink is set to bring more affordable and reliable internet to people across the United States, providing further proof of SpaceX’s commitment to improving global connectivity.
