Elon Musk is no longer the richest person in the world, according to unofficial rankings. The title has been ceded to Bernard Arnault, a European mogul. This change comes after Tesla’s stock price slipped by ~4% today, and has lost ~58% since the start of the year.

Musk has held the title of the world’s richest person for several months, reaching as high as $340 billions thanks in part to the incredible growth of Tesla’s stock price. However, the company has faced several challenges in recent months, including the recent over valued purchase of Twitter and selling almost $20 billion of his stake in TSLA.

As of today, Musk’s net worth is estimated at ~$164 billion, while Arnault’s is $170 billion according to Bloomberg’s index.

Despite these challenges, Musk remains a highly influential figure in the world of technology and business. He is the CEO of both Tesla and SpaceX, and has made headlines for his ambitious plans to revolutionize the transportation and energy industries.

Arnault, on the other hand, is the chairman and CEO of LVMH, a luxury goods conglomerate that includes brands such as Louis Vuitton and Sephora. He has seen his net worth rise thanks to the continued success of LVMH and its subsidiaries.

It is important to note that these rankings are not official, and the exact net worth of individuals can be difficult to determine. However, the change in Musk’s ranking is a reflection of the challenges that Tesla has faced in recent months.

Despite the setback, Musk remains a highly respected figure in the business world, and many are still bullish on the future of Tesla. The company has disrupted the automotive industry and has the potential to continue doing so in the future. Only time will tell if Musk can reclaim his title as the world’s richest person.
