Recent changes to the codebase of the popular gaming platform Steam suggest that the software may soon be available on the Tesla App Store. The discovery has sparked speculation that Steam could be included as part of a major holiday update for Tesla vehicles.

Steam is a digital distribution platform for video games, with a vast library of titles available for purchase and download. The platform is popular among gamers, and the inclusion of Steam on the Tesla App Store would be a major addition for Tesla owners.

The changes to the Steam codebase were discovered by the Tesla community on Twitter(Teslascope), and the discovery has generated significant excitement among gamers. The code changes suggest that Steam may be optimized for use on Tesla’s infotainment system, with support for the vehicle’s touch screen and other features.

Back in September, Elon said he is trying it out in Palo Atlo, responding to a tweet. This is the first time we have seen any evidence of it. It is not yet clear if the code changes are related to a test run, or if the changes are part of a larger update for the Tesla App Store.

Tesla vehicles already include a number of popular gaming platforms, including the Tesla Arcade, which offers a selection of games for free. The Tesla Arcade is available on all Tesla vehicles, and the platform is updated regularly with new games and features. The inclusion of Steam would be a major addition to the Tesla App Store, providing owners with access to a vast library of games.

Tesla vehicles certainly have the hardware to support Steam, with the company’s infotainment system offering a large touch screen and powerful computing capabilities. It is not yet clear if the old Tesla’s with HW 1&2 will be abel to handle the load of steam, but it is likely that the new Tesla’s with HW 3 will be able to handle it and the older Tesla’s need to be upgraded to HW 3 to be able to use steam.

It is not yet clear when Steam will be available on the Tesla App Store, and the company has not commented on the code changes. However, some have speculated that the inclusion of Steam could be part of a major holiday update for Tesla vehicles, providing owners with a new way to enjoy games on the go.

Overall, the discovery of code changes suggesting the inclusion of Steam on the Tesla App Store has generated excitement among gamers and Tesla owners. It remains to be seen when the popular gaming platform will be available on the platform, but the prospect of Steam coming to Tesla vehicles is an exciting one.
