Tesla has reportedly purchased land in Leon, Mexico and is rumored to be planning to build a new Giga Factory in the area. This news comes after CEO Elon Musk was spotted visiting the city a few months ago, where he was seen meeting with the Undersecretary of Investment of the State Economy.
The new Giga Factory is expected to be located near the municipality of Santa Catarina and will be used to produce Tesla’s electric vehicles and batteries. The plant is expected to bring significant economic benefits to the region, including job creation and increased investment. It is rumered that the new Giga Factory will produce Tesla Semi trucks.
