Leading electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla to deliver their first Semi Trucks to PepsiCo on 1st December. Tesla said in a twitter post previously that they stated building their electric version of a Semi Truck in their Nevada Gigafactory recently and the first deliveries will be going out to PepsiCo. The expected production rate of the Semi is 100 by the end of 100, although the company has not given any update on the current production rate. The Semi is expected to be available for sale in 2023.
The Semi Truck is a new product from Tesla that is a semi truck with a truck on the back. The truck is a 20ft long box that can be used to transport cargo. It was first unveiled in 2017 and was expected to be available for delivery in 2019. However, due to the pandemic, the delivery was delayed and the first deliveries are now expected to be made in 2022.
The delivery event is to take place at Giga Nevada, the Tesla Gigafactory in Nevada. The event will be streamed live on Tesla’s YouTube channel and will be hosted by CEO Elon Musk. The event will also be streamed on the Tesla website. Invitations to the event have been sent out to tesla investors and employees. The invitations with given to random investor who submitted the necessary documents as a proof of their investment in Tesla according to Tesla’s IR Martin Viecha.
Tesla Semi comes with an impressive range of 500miles and 300miles tho the 500miles variant will be built first and delivered to the customers.
