Apple started advertising again on Twitter after a brief break. The company had previously suspended advertising on the platform in response to the recent controversy surrounding the platform’s takeover by Elon Musk.

Apple was the top spender on Twitter Ads, with around $100M per year. Apple along with some other high profile companies stopped Ads on twitter but now they have restarted them according to the CEO Elon Musk, which he confirmed it in a Twitter Spaces event recently and in a tweet after that.

Elon Musk thanked the advertisers for their support and said that he is happy to see them back on Twitter. He also said that twitter is working on a new feature that will allow advertisers to target their ads to specific users in better way so that users will see more relevant Ads which does not irritate them.

Elon recently met Tim Cook at Apple HQ, and seeing this response from Apple makes it a positive development from Elons meeting.

Twitter is also working on TwitterBlue specifically for Companies and Organization, which will distinguish them better from parodies, trolls and fake accounts, after the rollout of new TwitterBlue for every paid TwitterBlue subscriber.

It will be interesting to see how TwitterBlue will affect the Twitter Ads revenue and how the new feature will help advertisers to target their ads better. We will keep you updated on this.
