Elon Musk, the new owner and CEO of Twitter, has announced that he will be stepping down as CEO following a poll on the social media platform. The poll, which was conducted in response to a backlash from many users over the new policies implemented by the company, showed a 57.5% in favor of Musk stepping down out of a total of approximately 17.3 million votes.
While the exact timing of Musk’s departure has not yet been announced, it is expected to occur in the near future. Previously, Musk said that he has always planned to find someone to run Twitter after a certain period of time, and that the poll results have simply accelerated that process.
Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.

The new policies implemented by Twitter have been the subject of much controversy and criticism, with many users feeling that they are too restrictive and have a negative impact on the platform’s overall user experience.
Despite the backlash, Musk has stood by the policies, arguing that they are necessary in order to maintain a safe and healthy platform for all users and to stop twitter from going bankrupt.
The question is not finding a CEO, the question is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive

You must like pain a lot. One catch: you have to invest your life savings in Twitter and it has been in the fast lane to bankruptcy since May. Still want the job?

However, the poll results seem to indicate that the majority of Twitter users disagree with Musk’s stance, and believe that it is time for a change in leadership at the company.
It remains to be seen who will replace Musk as CEO of Twitter, and what direction the company will take under its new leadership. Elon musk is still expected to be the Director of the board for twitter.
Whoever takes over as CEO, this will be a welcoming change for Tesla and SpaceX enthusiasts, who have been critical of Musk’s time spent on Twitter, and have been calling for him to step down as CEO for some time now and refocus his energy on Tesla and SpaceX.
However, many are hopeful that the new CEO will be more attuned to the needs and concerns of the platform’s users, and will be able to strike a better balance between safety and freedom of expression.
