Twitter has announced on a tweet that its paid subscription service, Twitter Blue, is making a comeback on Monday. The subscription will be available for $11 on iOS or $8 on Web. The price difference is probably due to the 30% app store fee by Apple.
One of the main features of Twitter Blue is the ability to have a blue checkmark on your account if you have a verified phone number. This feature was previously only available to verified accounts, but now anyone with a verified phone number can access it. The Blue checkmark will be added only after reviewing the account.
After the initial rollout went sideways, twitter paused the issue of the Blue checkmark for paid Twitter blue uses and looks like it’s finally coming back after a few delays.
we’re relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday – subscribe on web for $8/month or on iOS for $11/month to get access to subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark 🧵 pic.twitter.com/DvvsLoSO50

Accounts with blue checkmark can change their name and profile picture but will loose the blue checkmark temporarily. The blue checkmark will be restored once the account is reviewed by twitter.
In addition to the blue checkmark, Twitter Blue subscribers will also have early access to new features that are being rolled out on the platform. This means that they will be able to try out new features before they are available to the general public.
The ‘Official’ tag under the brand name will be replaced with a gold checkmark and a gray checkmark will be added to government accounts in the coming week.
Another feature of Twitter Blue which will come in the future is priority in replies. This means that if you have a Twitter Blue subscription, your replies to tweets will appear at the top of the replies section, giving your opinion more visibility.
Finally, Twitter Blue subscribers will also have access to longer video posting and advanced search capabilities. This will allow them to post longer videos and search for specific tweets and accounts more easily. As of now the videos are limited to 1080p.
Overall, Twitter Blue seems to be a useful subscription for those who are looking to get more out of their Twitter experience. The blue checkmark and early access to new features are particularly appealing, and the subscription is reasonably priced at $11 on iOS or $8 on Web. It remains to be seen how successful the service will be, but it certainly seems like a promising addition to the platform.
