The decision to auction off surplus assets is part of Twitter’s ongoing efforts to streamline its operations and improve efficiency. By selling off unused items, the company will be able to free up space and generate additional revenue.
The auction is open to the public, and interested bidders can preview the items on offer and place bids online. The auction is expected to attract a wide range of buyers, from individuals looking for unique pieces of furniture to businesses looking to furnish their offices.
Twitter has not yet disclosed how much it expects to raise from the auction, but the sale is expected to generate significant interest from potential buyers. The auction is a unique opportunity for members of the public to acquire high-quality office assets at discounted prices.

Elon previously complained that twitter was spending too much money(~$400 per meal) on food and stopped offering free food to employees. There were apparently more people cooking than eating at one point. This is a good way to save money and make money at the same time as twitter is running out of money.
Overall, the decision to auction off surplus office assets is a smart move for Twitter. By selling off unused items, the company will be able to generate additional revenue and streamline its operations. The auction is expected to attract a wide range of buyers, and could be a valuable source of revenue for the company.
