Twitter is reportedly working on long videos that can be up to 2 hours long and can be up to 40GB in size. This is in line with the new Twitter 2.0 that Elon Musk is working on.

The feature will be available to TwitterBlue subscribers, who also gets a verification badge for their profile. This is targeted towards content creators and influencers who does not upload long videos on twitter due to it’s limitations. They usually just post YouTube links or other links to their videos.
Elon musk said, they are looking into the possibility of allowing users to longer upload videos in twitter so that the user does not leave the app to watch the videos. Elon previously said they will give more % of the money from the videos and ads from it than what YouTube or TikTok currently gives to the creators.
This is inline with the new twitter and the everything App X that Elon wants to build eventually. Weather the creators will upload the videos to twitter or not is yet to be seen as youtube has a huge user base compared to twitter, hence better revenue model for the creators.
