After elon musk said previously suspended accounts from twitter will be coming back to twitter in accordance with a recent poll conducted by him, there is a growing concern among many democrats and far-left activists. Elon reinstated the former president will be reinstated on twitter and reinstating some of the suspend accounts which belongs to republic party members and far-left activists will result in using the platform to spread misinformation and incite violence.
Some people are calling on to Apple and Google to remove Twitter app from their App Store, like they did for Gab, a far-right social media platform. Gab was removed from the App Store after the company refused to remove the content which was deemed as hate speech by the company. Gab was reinstated after the company removed the content which was deemed as hate speech by the company.
I certainly hope it does not come to that, but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone
Replying to a tweet, elon musk stated that, this is concerning and if it ever comes to that, and Twitter is indeed removed from the App Store and Play Store, he will make his own Phones and App Store.
Previously Elon musk stated that he would not make his own phones, addressing some rumors that he is working on a Tesla Phone, with Starlink integrated into the phone. Elon musk said that he would not make his own phones because he does not want to compete with the existing phone manufacturers and there is already enough innovation in the phone industry.
Wether it will come to Elon making his own brand of phone or not is still to be seen, which is considered highly unlikely. Removing an App like Twitter from App Stores will have some huge consequences for the company and the political climate in the USA.
